Does this sound familiar to you? If so, you may want to check out gate 35 in your Human Design chart. Gate 35 can be located on the top right side of the Throat Energy Center of your bodychart. If it's in a black circle, then it's active, and if it's not, then it's considered dormant.

Active gates create consistent themes, and dormant gates will absorb and amplify energy depending on who or what comes into your aura.
